The National Pre-retirement Summit is the premier one-stop hub for comprehensive retirement planning and resources for workers nearing retirement in Nigeria.  Designed to tackle the challenges faced by retirees in Nigeria, the Summit aims to provide a platform that equips workers who have 0-10 years to retirement with essential skills, knowledge, resources, and opportunities for a seamless retirement transition and sustainability.

The Summit’s key objectives are to provide entrepreneurship and digital skills that empower participants to leverage their career experience upon retirement, financial and investment literacy that enables informed financial and investment post-retirement decisions, supplementary income strategies, and health management awareness to facilitate sustainable living when retired while remaining productive and contributory members of the society.

The maiden 2024 Summit was a resounding success. It brought together over 1,000 Nigerian workers, retirement experts, policymakers, health management experts, and investment advisors alongside the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF), and the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) to explore critical issues affecting retirees in Nigeria. Participants gained valuable insights into mental health management, ageing-related illnesses, secure investment, and financial management for a fulfilling retirement.
