Global Leaders are essential to build a better world. Young people find themselves today in a deeply polarized world. The innocence of their childhood wears off and immediately they face a world that seem to give more hate than love. They also have to grapple with a fast-paced world, with mind blowing technologies and unintended negative effect rolled out every day. For many young people, it’s like they can’t catch a break.
On one hand, society demands a lot from them, and on the other hand, they are told to slow down or even take a back seat when they try to stand up to these responsibilities. Many times, their experience is questioned and their genius is underplayed.
In any case, none of these have deterred young people. You can always find them in the forefront of global issues, leading the march to crate a better world. Their genius and determination in full display, not minding their detractors and in the face of threats to their lives. From Malala standing for the right of the girl child to be educated and taking a bullet for it, to Greta Thunberg challenging world leaders to stand up and sincerely deal with the dangers climate change pose to our world, and Emma Gonzales leading the way for stricter gun controls.
All around the world, you can find young people midwifing change. They have refused to “wait their turn”. As the demography the demography with the highest stake in the fate of the world, it is understandable that for them, the future is now.
At XEM consultants, we believe in the capacity of young people, we’ve seen it with the young people who work with us, and so we believe if we can help more young people find their passion early, society will be better for it.
Our Young Global Leaders (YGL) Summit prepares young people to become pace setters and resilient leaders. Our 2022 summit will equip participants with entrepreneurial skills, build self- confidence, public speaking ability, team bonding, etiquette as well as learn to deal with resentment among their peers.
Participants will have the opportunity of joining our UN simulation project which will focus on global issues, international relations and child right issues under the mentorship of dynamic coaches ultimately transforming them into Global Leaders.
